It's Been a While

I know....I know it' s been over two months since my last post and I would like to blame that firstly on the fact that it's been a little quiet mainly with working and living. Also I have been a touch on the lazy side to.

Well firstly. I started another new job, yes another one. I worked at Guy's for just under 4 months and I have just started working at St Thomas' Hospital. I am working in the paediatric cochlear implant clinic, which is providing me with lots of new challenges as it's a side of audiology that I have not been involved with in a while.

I did discover however that I am a published author, my masters thesis actually got published in a scientific journal 2 years ago! http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=16119359&dopt=Citation

I did have a visitor from Canada, Will previously mentioned in this blog came to visit for a week which was fantastic. The weather was very un-English beautiful clear skys, sunshine and warm mid twenties temperatures. We did a few touristy things but just enjoyed spending time together.
My lovely housemate Michelle gave us free tickets to a premier league football game, it was Fullum Vs Manchester City. We were supporting Fullum whose own fans seem to hate them and it's easy to understand why when they seem to consistently under perform and lack any passion. Anyway it was a great experience, and there was a bit of singing, chanting and Manchester fans going bananas when a goal was scored.

My lovely friend and former band mate Angie and I went to Cambridge for a day.
It is very pretty there, it's a complete university town. We had a nice lunch then spend time wandering around. It felt rather English. We took a punt (a kind of long flat boat which is steered with a long stick - we asked ) ride along the river Cam and saw all the grand colleges and beautiful gardens. We had a great day out.

So apart from the above I've been working hard. I have started Spanish lessons here, and salsa classes which I enjoy. I have a couple of lovely friends I like to go out with. But I do miss everyone back home and I appreciate all the emails and messages people send me, and I promise that I will keep more up to date.
